Hi Everyone, I’m Evie and I’m currently working for Arundel Travel as a Travel Consultant. I’ve been here for well over a year now and I am thoroughly enjoying learning about new travel experiences and widening my knowledge of where I’d love to visit.
My favourite holiday I’ve been on was when I visited New York in October 2016, It was by far the most surreal experience ever. Seeing all the sights from famous movies and TV shows was brilliant. We stayed in the Crowne Plaza at Times Square and the views were fantastic. Being able to visit the Statue of Liberty and go into the Crown was fantastic as you could see the skyline of New York, even if it was a little bit cramped! New York lit up at night from the Empire State Building was unbelievable and we flew in at night so the views of the bridges and the skyline as well were terrific. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat especially if I could visit at Christmas.
One of my favourite and most memorable experiences from being on holiday was when I went to Budapest in September 2022. We did a boat trip along the Danube River at night when it was dark and the Palace and the entire city was lit up. It was absolutely breathtaking. It was such a clear night that you could see the light from the moon lighting up the water and the Fisherman’s Bastion lit up as well. There was the option to get off at Margaret Island to visit and see the Japanese Gardens etc lit up at night and the dancing water fountains as well.
There are so many places in the world that I would love to get the opportunity to visit but there are definitely two main places on my Bucket List. I would love to have a trip to Peru. My sister and I have always said we would love to do a trip to Peru together to see Machu Pichu and to hike the Inca Trail. I definitely want to get the opportunity as well to see the Alpacas and Llamas in their natural habitats, it would be so cute! Visiting the capital city of Lima looks amazing with so much to do and see, visiting the different plazas and being able to experience the pure difference between the jungle life and the city only round the corner. The other place on my bucket list is Costa Rica to help with Turtle Conservation. Volunteering to help out with saving turtles, learning all about the history behind it and visiting the local areas of Costa Rica would be fabulous. I haven’t had the chance to anything like this before so I would love to get out of my comfort zone and give it a go!
