24 Hours in Disneyland Paris

Bea had a magical experience this week when she was whisked away with Air France and Disney …

I’ve been very lucky that I’ve been able to experience and see Disneyland Paris for two of its seasons now. Halloween🎃& Christmas🎄and it truly is a place where the most magical stories come to life.

Starting my journey the right way at Manchester’s airports 1903 lounge, with a class of bubbles and a bacon sandwich I was relaxed and ready for my busy 24 hours in Disneyland.

My Air France flight seemed to be over in a flash and after being served my cup of tea and croissant, I could sit back in my extra leg room seat and relax with my complimentary newspaper.

Charles De Gaulle airport really did surprise me, I always thought the airport would be too big and I would easily become lost. Air France have really changed my mind, they make the transit through the airport so easy with designated transit areas all within a simple laid out terminal.

My fairytale 24 hours started as soon as I checked into the Disney’s Newport Bay, I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and it’s still blows my mind of how every detail immerses you in Disney Magic with its own Disney story. This particular hotel takes you back to the 1920s American seaside luxury, with subtle Mickey Mouse magic. One of the perks of staying at one of Disney’s hotels is the extra magic hours you receive in the both parks. So you can head straight to your favourite ride and beat all the queues.

Disney also offer the magic experience over in its Disney nature resorts, where you can reconnect with nature, relax and rediscover your adventures side. These hotels are only a 15 minute drive away from the parks offering free shuttle to both. Perfect for families or groups of friends that are wanting to kick back and relax after a busy day creating memories.

Disneyland park, is a true magical kingdom. Where five lands meet to bring your fairy tales to life. Offering your sparkling shows within its jaw dropping attractions. The Disney all stars parade will have you smiling from ear to ear as you watch, wave or maybe even scream at your favourite characters coming down Main Street. Here you can also enjoy the Big thrill rides, my favourite being Hyperspace Mountain or some fun for the little ones on Peter Pans flight. Every evening you can watch the Disney illuminations dazzle Sleeping Beauty’s castle with it’s incredible light projections and stunning special effects that bring the Disney classics to life.

Head next door to the Walt Disney Studios, where block buster attractions and star studded shows help you create some memorable encounters. The place where you can be part of the movie magic, my favourites being Ratatouille & Tower of Terror.

Don’t forget thought that there is fun beyond the parks where you can have unforgettable encounters with some of your favourite characters whilst having your breakfast or evening meal in one of the many restaurants available. The extra excitement continues in the Disney village, a place where a shoppers dream comes true or where there is magic on the menus.

I could talk all day about all things Disney from its food fit for a princess/prince, it’s fast passes that helps you cut down the queuing time or it’s photo pass so you can take away with you the pictures of the spellbinding special events that you have witnessed.

As you can tell and see I love Disney and everything it has to offer, so please call in and pick my brain on all things magical.

I truly believe that we all have the magic to unlock our inner child.

For the longest time, South Africa has been on my bucket list. After hearing stories from my mum about her visit there when she was 18, I knew that one day I needed to go and explore it for myself. Fast forward to a few months ago when Helen received a phone call from Premier Holidays offering me a place on their South Africa Fam trip... safe to say there were tears of joy from myself and Helen. September quickly rolled around and there I was heading down to London Heathrow to meet Nicky (Premier Holidays) and the rest of the group and what an incredible group we had.

I flew out from Leeds Bradford on Thursday 5th October to Porto and stayed at the HF Tuela Porto, which was near the pick up points for the conference. The hotel was only 15 minutes walk away from the outskirts of the bustling centre, the sun was shining so I set off to explore for a few hours. After I’d spent some time wandering around and enjoying a chilled glass of Vinho Verde, the local wine, I sat by the river side and had a bite to eat. Watching the trams pass me by with the sun setting over the Douro river, I reminded myself of how lucky I am to be able to experience beautiful places.

This year my Husband Nick turned 60, and as part of his birthday celebrations we went to one of our favourite places, Kassiopi in Corfu. We have visited Kassiopi a few times now and we couldn’t wait to get back, visit some amazing places and of course see one of my best friends Lucy and her family, she has lived there for 17 years! Over our 3 week stay, more than 40 of our closet friends and families joined us – and they all had the same opinion- they loved this place – Kassiopi and Corfu.

We like to make life as easy as possible on travel day so often we book a hotel the night before. We stayed at Ryland Farmhouse, about 5 miles from Manchester Airport which was perfectly adequate for the night and had the full English breakfast it was one of the best I’ve ever had!
